About
The Plant Lab Videocassette Visual Album, created in several consecutive PNW basements, living rooms, and recording studios, is a full-body psychedelic experience. Previously available only on VHS, this will be the album’s first foray from cathode ray tubes onto the tubes of the internet. Tune in and be transformed! 🌀😦🌀
The music:
Hear it on nwfilmforum.org before the album’s digital release on April 10, 2020! Pre-order the VHS or order the audio cassette on Bandcamp.
- All songs written, performed and produced by Owen Whitcomb & Brenan Chambers
- Drums by Max Mendizabl on Grand Hall, Max, Baroque, and Ancients
- Nich Wilbur engineered parts of Choral and Bubblegum Sun at The Unknown in Anacortes, WA
The visuals:
This visual album is best experienced loud, on a CRT television, under some kind of influence, lying on the floor after taking too hot a bath, and/or projected on the ceiling during a party.
- Visuals performed and edited by Paul Siple, with contribution by Tyler Johnston on Highway Scenery
- Logo animation by Travis Wagoner
- Packaging design by Brenan Chambers
