Coldbrew Collective presents Kilbourne’s rescore of Blade, the 1998 Vampire Horror/Action film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Directed by Stephen Norrington, starring Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson and N’Bushe Wright, the film tells the story of Blade, a half-mortal, half-vampire man who seeks to avenge his mother’s death by killing evil vampires.
Please join us after the show for a DJ set by Howin 1000 (Darqness Seattle)!
Some people are destined to devastate. Marked by her politicized take on dance music and singular dedication to the harder styles, Kilbourne has crafted a queer sound all her own, drawing connections between hardcore, industrial, club music, the euphoric, and the cinematic, often only to break them down and begin rebuilding. She has contributed official remixes and original production for a wide range of musicians, including Cakes Da Killa, TT The Artist, ceo, Abdu Ali, Gnucci, and HIRS and her original tracks and edits can be heard at DJ nights around the world. Kilbourne has been interviewed numerous times about the roles misogyny and transmisogyny play in dance music, and continues to push a politically informed understanding of dance music and the world(s) in which it exists.
